SECURITY WARNING: E-MAIL "PHISHING" SCAM 7-17-07 - GVCCU was recently the target of a phishing attack. Phishing is the practice of sending an e-mail that appears to be from a financial institution with the goal of persuading individuals users to share sensitive information that can be used to commit fraud or identity theft.
The criminals that sent out this e-mail copied our logo and imitiated the "look and feel" of our messages to try and persuade individuals that the e-mail was genuine. We did not send this message.
If you responded to the message by sharing personal financial information, please contact us immediately by telephone @ 800-328-4131, ext 113. We will provide you instructions for changing your password and taking other steps to protect your accounts.
Always remember that we will NEVER ask you to click on an e-mail link to share sensitive financial information. Please notify us whenever you receive a suspicious e-mail or have any other form of unsolicited contact from individuals seeking personal information about your accounts.

Effective immediately, we will no longer honor VISA CHECK (DEBIT) CARD transactions in Spain . This step has become necessary due to losses that our members are experiencing from fraudulent transactions in these areas. We have also blocked VISA CHECK (DEBIT) CARD transactions for PIN USE ONLY in the following foreign countries: Ukraine, Romania, Siberia, Japan, South America and Brazil. We have blocked VISA CHECK (DEBIT) CARD transactions for SIGNATURE ONLY in Mexico. We offer travelers checks AND a VISA Gift Card that has proven to be much safer when traveling internationally.
