Savings Account

The basic account required for membership at Grand Valley Co-Op Credit Union. The Savings Account is the doorway to all the other great products and services offered by Grand Valley.

• Minimum balance of $5 required
• Dividends paid quarterly on balances maintained at $100 or more
• Dividends are calculated by the daily balance method which applies a daily periodic rate to the balance in the account each day
• Excessive withdrawal fees may apply

Super Simple

• $500 Minimum balance in Super Simple Account to open
• Interest is computed daily and paid monthly to Share Savings Account
• Interest rate for Super Simple is 2.75% below six month T-Bill rate received the last Tuesday of the month and is good for the following month or will be set by the Board at their monthly meeting. Rate for September is .40% APY*
• No penalties or time requirements

Youth Club Accounts
Grand Valley Co-Op Credit Union's Youth Club Accounts are the best way to teach your children to save. Club members get quarterly newsletters, birthday prizes, and rewards for making deposits into their accounts. Members are also able to participate in ongoing contests throughout the year. All you need to get your children signed up for one of our youth accounts is to bring in their social security card, birth certificate and $6 in cash. ($1 sign-up fee and $5 initial deposit)


TEEN SCENE Account

The new TEEN SCENE account is designed for youth account holders ages 13-18. Responsible youths can learn financial responsibility by obtaining the following state of the art services***:

• Share draft/checking accounts
• ATM & VISA Check (debit) cards
• Check Protection (line of credit)
• VISA Credit Cards
• Closed End Loans
• Internet banking

Kids Love the Pig!

What a great way to help kids save...give them a GVCCU piggy bank! Stop by any location of Grand Valley Co-Op Credit Union and pick up a free piggy bank. Once the piggy bank is full, have your child bring it into the credit union and we will match their savings deposit up to $5. Whether the deposit is made into an existing account or a new account is opened, this is a great deal for any child. Plus, the child will receive another piggy bank for future savings. Hurry in...quantities are limited!


Vacation Club

The Vacation Club is designed to help you save money little by little so you can take that well needed vacation you have worked so hard for. Deposits are made into this account by payroll deduction or member transaction. No minimum balance required to open the account.


Christmas Club

The Christmas Club is a great way to save money for the holiday shopping season. There is no minimum balance to open the account. Have your money deposited into your account through payroll deduction or through a transaction at your local office. Christmas Club Accounts will automatically transfer over into your Share Savings Account on October 1st of each year. Fees will apply for early withdrawal. After the funds are transferred out, your account remains open so you can start saving for the following year!
